Noor Orphans Fund is a not-for-profit organisation registered in the UK , established under the umbrella of the Noor Youth Trust in 2000 to help Iraqi orphans living inside Iraq , or as refugees in Iran , and Lebanese orphans living in their home country.
The Fund is designed to assist destitute orphans to deal with both the trauma of losing a parent / parents and the poverty-stricken lives that tend to follow.
Our Mission
Our mission is to give hope for a brighter tomorrow to disadvantaged orphans and their families through financial, motivational and practical support.
Our Objectives
Provide towards the benefit of orphans and their families, and in particular the Iraqi orphans who are refugees or displaced, residing in communities overseas, as well as those who live in their home country without distinction of sex or ethnic background.
The relief of financial hardship among orphaned children and their families, by providing such persons with goods and/or services which they could not otherwise afford through lack of means.
Building awareness of the increasing numbers of impoverished orphans in the world.
Building awareness of people's abilities to make a difference in the lives of desperate children.
To cooperate with and support organisations and individuals working for orphans and their families in the UK and overseas, to promote education, health and inclusion of orphaned children, and to prevent/ minimise poverty.
The Fund will cooperate with other charities, Voluntary bodies and statutory authorities in order to exchange information and advice with them.
Trustees
The Fund shall be administered by a body of trustees comprising:

The manager committee will decide on adding new members to the committee by a majority vote among themselves.
No Trustee shall receive any remuneration or be interested in the supply of work or goods at the cost of the Fund.
In furtherance of the objects but not otherwise the trustees may exercise any of the following powers:
Power to raise funds and to invite and receive contributions, Provided that in raising funds the charity shall not undertake any substantial permanent trading activity and shall conform to any relevant statutory regulation;
to buy, take on lease or in exchange, hire or otherwise acquire any property necessary for the achievement of the objects and to maintain and equip it for use;
subject to any consents required by law to sell, lease, or
otherwise dispose of all or any part of the property comprised in the trust fun;
subject to any consents required by law, to borrow money and to charge the whole or any part of the trust funds with the repayment of the money so borrowed;
to co-operate with other charities, voluntary bodies and statutory authorities operating in the furtherance of the objects of similar charitable purpose and to exchange information and advise with them;
to do all such other lawful things as are necessary for the achievement of the objects.
Funds
The Fund shall raise funds by means of sponsorships, donations, fundraising activities, grants and assistance provided by local authorities, charitable funds, individuals and other legal sources.
The full amount of sponsorship payment / donations goes to the orphans and their family. All administration expenses are covered by the trust which is proud to support this project, and help with implementation.
The funds will be kept in a bank account in the name of Noor Orphans Fund. The account is to be drawn upon by authorisation of two signatories from the four authorised signatories.
Child Protection Policy
Noor Orphans Fund Child Protection Policy is based on principles of the UN convention on the Rights of the Child. NOF believes that NGOs working with vulnerable children , have a duty to protect this already vulnerable group from mistreatment and exploitation from within organisations intended for their benefit.
As a condition of working with NOF, all trustees, employees, volunteers and researchers are required to undergo the following:
Satisfactory clearance through a police check conducted by the Criminal Records Bureau.
Both acceptance of and commitment to our child Protection policy and code of conduct for working with children.
Signing a personal declaration stating any criminal Convictions, including spent convictions.
Providing the name and contact information of two Characters references they have known for no less than two years, excluding family members.
